Custom Events

We can bring you theft, murder, and exotic produce. We can also bring you so much more. The Durian Grey team has a mix of educators, actors, and live-action roleplayers that can design interactive events, presentations, and games tailored to the needs, preferences, and style of any audience. Our pervasive love of all things nerd and improv doesn’t hurt, either.

SPECIAL PROJECT: SMITH PUBLIC LIBRARY - MARY SHELLEY’S FRANKENSTEIN

We had an opportunity to work with the staff at the Smith Public Library in Wylie, Texas for a unique Halloween event. Our game planners and cast studied the basis of horror, Frankenstein, to bring forth the key characters in linked, interactive, puzzle and performance-based experiences. This event was built from the ground-up with the patrons of the library in mind and better yet, it was built to make use of the various spaces of the beautiful Wylie Public Library!

SPECIAL PROJECT: ABILENE PUBLIC LIBRARY - TEA AND TREACHERY AT LIB-CON

The staff at the Mockingbird Branch of the Abilene Public Library system brought us in for our signature Tea and Treachery mystery tea. Knowing that this audience would be brand new to an interactive mystery, we made adjustments to our cast planning and event procedure. This helped bring this diverse and across-the-age spectrum audience in through both explanation of the game and our cast drawing them into the fun!
